Mr. Miller,
Thank you for your comment. There are so many things that could be going on here. I am going to guess that your problems started many years ago from an over dominate muscular imbalance that may have led to the shortening and lengthening of certain muscular groups. This would over time create a pelvic tilt which would start a chain reaction of differences throughout your body-including the alignment of your ankle and foot joints. Orthotics may help a little but I do not believe they would solve your problems.

Thanks a lot. Some very good advice here. My feeling is that the pelvis is the foundation for what's above it. Pelvis out of alignment, vertebrae above out of alignment.

And, as you say, maybe knees out of alignment. I think that's true. And maybe feet out of alignment. I keep tearing my right calf and Achilles and think it is a tight left bottock which has twisted my pelvis and dragged my body to the left.

Therefore the right foot always takes more of the weight. Interesting when placed on two scales, the right scale was 6Kg heavier than the left.

Now, as well as loosening of left buttock, what do you reckon I can do to square myself up?

I think the twisting started 50 years ago with shot-putting, javelin throwing and tennis serving and now at 64 I'm thinking, John, put up with it, this is the way it is. But, I'm not happy with that. I'm fit, strong and athletic. I just don't like carrying a sore right calf and Achilles.

I subscribe to Egoscue's principal (www.egoscue.com) that the cause of the pain is rarely at the site of the pain - and think, maybe it's my feet position. Maybe if I get orthoics I'll be OK. But then I think, maybe poor foot position is caused by hips out of alignment and muscules around the hips not doing the job they're meant to do. That's what attracct me to your work.

So, would like to correspond with you on a professional basis.
